How the index is maintained
Catalog feeds run on vendor-specific cadences. Failed or expired feeds are removed from public comparison results until they qualify again.

What TankHunt does not claim
TankHunt does not call checkout-only shipping zero, does not label expired offers as current, and does not merge species merely because one name contains another. Estimated delivered totals appear only when shipping is known. Seller rankings are comparison aids, not guarantees of livestock health, delivery timing, or claim approval.
Aquarium animals have care needs that extend beyond price. Confirm adult size, water requirements, social behavior, acclimation needs, and legal restrictions with reliable husbandry sources before ordering. When no current offer is suitable, a restock watch is safer than relying on an old price or stale availability record.
The comparison model is designed for transparent tradeoffs.
